Events
What are we up to? Unbore seeks to establish itself as a platform for thinkers and doers in bioart and biodesign, producing a variety of events in collaboration with individuals and institutions that love asking questions and a bit of play. We prioritise a hands-on approach, quite a bit of (dark) humour and, above all, curiosity. Here you can find all of our past and future events and get involved.
Tangible Memories

This unique workshop took the participants on a sensorial journey across memories of past experiences, feelings and body sensations.
The artists Margherita Soldati and Alice Héron researched and created a series of exercises to reconnect us with our body. The workshop is designed to explore our memories through the sense of touch and taste, and give us a boost of the happiness hormone oxytocin.

RAW / à vif or the unnatural desire to design a human
Noémie Soula solo exhibition
A project at the crossroad between trans-humanism and biology, RAW / à vif presents three speculative scenarios of sculpting, coding and farming body parts. Exploring these interwoven biotechnologies, it asks - what does the future hold for your body?

Microbiome: Inside Out
Did you know that humans are colourful landscapes, swarming with bacteria, archaea, fungi, viruses and other microbes that make up more than half of the body’s total cell count?
The exhibition presented the works of biodesigners Dia Munoz (EC) and Rosie Broadhead (UK) in order to imagine a future in which being human means being microbial.
The event was part of Beyond Human festival.

Experiments in DIY New Reproductive Technologies
Adam Zaretsky solo exhibition
Our microbiome is our second genome, our internal ancestors and possibly the source of our third mind. What kind of beings might result after the insertion of scrambled genes in our family tree? What kinds of identity splay can we expect from becoming bacterial?
